Pastor Rupert Gray: Now Resting in Jesus
Posted: April 1st, 2026

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Pastor Rupert Gray, who peacefully fell asleep in the Lord on March 31, 2026, at the age of 76, surrounded by his loving family.
Pastor Gray faithfully served the Ontario Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for nearly 30 years, retiring in March 2025. Throughout his ministry, he devoted himself to spiritual leadership, compassionate service, and nurturing faith. He pastored several congregations, including Toronto West, Hamilton East, Ajax, Mt. Gilead, and All Nations Adventist Churches. His unwavering commitment, gentle spirit, and heartfelt devotion to God and His people left a lasting imprint on all who were blessed to know him.
His ministry extended far beyond the pulpit. Pastor Gray was a steadfast source of encouragement, offering prayer, wisdom, and comfort through life’s most difficult trials and its most joyful moments. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the faith he strengthened, and the communities he helped to build.
Pastor Gray will be deeply missed by his beloved family, church members, colleagues in ministry, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though our hearts grieve, we find hope in the blessed assurance of the resurrection and the promise of eternal life.
Pansie, his beloved wife, along with his children—Janette, Lorette, and Monette—and their respective families, kindly ask that you keep them in your prayers during this time of sorrow. Funeral arrangements are currently being finalised, and further details will be shared in the coming days.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” – Matthew 5:4
