Arden Brock Installed as New Pastor of the Timmins and Haileybury Adventist Churches
Posted: June 3rd, 2026

Pastor Arden Brock was officially installed as the new spiritual leader of the Timmins and Haileybury Seventh-day Adventist churches during special services held on consecutive weekends in May 2026.
The first installation service took place on May 23 at the Timmins Seventh-day Adventist Church, where Pastor Brock was welcomed by the congregation and formally installed by Pastor Frankie Lazarus, Ontario Conference Ministerial Secretary.
One week later, on May 30, Pastor Brock was also installed at the Haileybury Seventh-day Adventist Church during a special service officiated by Pastor Raul Gonzales, Associate Ministerial Secretary.
These meaningful ceremonies marked the beginning of a new chapter in the ministry of both congregations as they look forward to serving alongside Pastor Brock under his spiritual leadership.
Pastor Brock brings with him a wealth of life experience, a strong commitment to Christian service, and a passion for nurturing spiritual growth within the church and community. His early years in farming and logging instilled in him the values of hard work, diligence, stewardship, common sense, and relational integrity. These experiences have profoundly shaped his approach to ministry, giving him a practical, grounded perspective that emphasizes authentic relationships, servant leadership, and compassionate pastoral care.
From 2002 to 2022, Pastor Brock faithfully served the Iron Bridge Seventh-day Adventist Church in a variety of leadership and support roles, including deacon, elder, and audiovisual technician. Through these years of local church service, he developed a deep appreciation for congregational life and the importance of empowering church members to use their gifts in ministry.
After relocating to Alberta, Pastor Brock continued his active involvement in church leadership at the Ponoka Seventh-day Adventist Church while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies at Burman University, complemented by a minor in Counselling Psychology. His academic preparation has strengthened his understanding of theology, pastoral ministry, and the importance of providing spiritual and emotional support to individuals and families.
During his time at Burman University, Pastor Brock served on the Executive Committee of the Theology Club and worked as a video technician for the Burman Ministry Centre. In this role, he helped facilitate worship services and outreach initiatives through digital media and technology. His proficiency in EasyWorship, Canva, PowerPoint, and audiovisual systems has given him valuable insight into the growing role of digital ministry. He is particularly passionate about helping smaller and rural congregations implement practical, affordable technology solutions while equipping volunteers with the training, confidence, and encouragement needed to support local church ministry.
Pastor Brock's pastoral preparation has also included valuable field experience at the Sudbury and Toronto West Seventh-day Adventist Churches. These ministry placements provided hands-on opportunities in preaching, visitation, evangelism, discipleship, and church administration, helping to equip him for the diverse responsibilities of pastoral leadership.
Above all, Pastor Brock seeks to be a God-fearing, dependable, and Christ-centred pastor who faithfully upholds the beliefs and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He is committed to fostering an environment of peace, unity, spiritual growth, and active discipleship, where members are encouraged to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and engage meaningfully in the life and mission of the church.
Pastor Brock is supported in ministry by his wife, Kristin Michelle Schexnayder, and their three children—Natilee, Isaac, and Aaron—who joined the installation service online. The family plans to relocate from Alberta once the school year concludes. Together, they look forward to building meaningful relationships, serving their communities, and partnering with church members to share the hope, compassion, and love of Christ throughout the region.
The Haileybury Seventh-day Adventist Church family is delighted to welcome the Brock family and eagerly anticipates the blessings God will bring through their ministry. As they begin this new journey together, the congregation looks forward to working alongside Pastor Brock in reaching people for Christ, strengthening the church family, and advancing God's work in the community.
