Ontario Conference Mourns the Passing of Pastor George Ivkov

Pastor George Ivkov peacefully passed away at Southlake Health, Newmarket, on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 91 years of age.
Beloved husband of Ethel for 64 years, George was a devoted family man whose faith, kindness, and commitment to serving others shaped every aspect of his life. Loving father of Robert (Lauren) and Edward (Kimberly), and proud grandfather of Alexander, Evelyn, Michael, Tristan (Jamie), and Erika. He is survived by his sister, Seka, and will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and the congregations he faithfully served throughout his ministry.
George dedicated much of his life to Christian ministry as a pastor within the Ontario Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Through years of pastoral service, he provided spiritual leadership, encouragement, and compassionate care to countless individuals and families. His unwavering faith, thoughtful counsel, and commitment to sharing the love of Christ left a lasting impact on the communities and churches he served. Those who knew him will remember his gentle spirit, integrity, and steadfast devotion to God and others.
Visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford, on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford.
