Earth Summit 2026 Ottawa: United for Earth Care

The Earth Summit, held on April 26, 2026, at the Ottawa Conference and Events Centre, brought together professors, theologians, scientists, civic leaders, students, and community members to explore the relationship between faith, science, and environmental stewardship. Centred on the theme “Earth, Ours to Care For,” the gathering fostered meaningful dialogue on shared responsibility and practical approaches to caring for the planet.
The opening ceremony featured remarks from Ontario Conference President Dr. Jakov Bibulović, a keynote address by Dr. Keith Burton of AdventHealth University, musical performances by Ms. Rennatha Bernadin, and a land acknowledgement delivered by Sharon and Jamie Johns. Attendees also engaged with interactive exhibits spanning topics such as the Origin of the Universe, Creation Days 1 to 7, Environmental Economics, The Gospel and Glycoprotein, Where Design and Science Intersect, Our Immune System and Climate Change, and Paleontology, among others.
A student poster competition highlighted young creativity across four grade categories. The winners of the Earth Summit Poster Contest are as follows:

Special appreciation is extended to the judges: Victoria Callender, Claudine Ingabire, and Angeline Jean-Pierre.
The 2026 Earth Summit concluded with music, prize presentations, and a renewed commitment to integrating faith, science, and environmental stewardship. Organisers are already looking ahead to expanded collaboration and impact in 2027.
